Sinusitis
Sinusitis should be treated by Allergy & Asthma Consultants as soon as possible. Until remedied, the symptoms of sinusitis (see below) rarely subside until remedied.
In some cases, untreated sinusitis leads to much more serious infections and diseases such as meningitis, a brain abscess, or a viral infection.

Sinusitis Symptoms
You may have sinusitis when the tissue lining your sinuses becomes swollen or inflamed. The symptoms of acute sinusitis typically last 10 days, whereas the symptoms of chronic sinusitis may endure for several months.
- Unusually restrictive nasal breathing or stuffy nose
- Green or yellow nasal discharge
- Bad breath
- Tenderness in the forehead cheeks and eyes
- Postnasal drip
- Abnormal smell and taste
Sinus Infection
A sinus infection is a growth in the sinuses, referred to as nasal polyps. Also present is swelling of the lining of the sinuses. Sinus infection, or sinusitis is also called rhinosinusitis, a condition which affects children and adults alike.
Once your sinusitis is diagnosed at Allergy & Asthma Consultants, the allergist will prescribe medications to relieve your symptoms and treat the infection.
